IoT Village Hacking Playground:

The IoT Village Hacking Playground is a set of quick, hands-on labs developed to teach the tools and techniques for discovering and exploiting some of the common weaknesses found in IoT devices and Bluetooth Low Energy. Whether you're a penetration tester that has never hacked IoT devices or even someone that has never hacked anything, these self-guided labs will introduce the audience to the world of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and the security issues that can plague BLE smart devices. Participants will get a chance to perform real world analysis of BLE smart devices and perform attacks to control these devices. Students work at their own pace following our IoT Hacking 101 guides, and instructors are on hand to provide assistance as needed and answer any questions.

IoT Home Demos

The IoT Village Home Demos are short walkthrough sessions of devices that can be found in your home. Learn from our team about how they work and what potential vulnerabilities these devices have, and how to better protect your lights, vacuums, toilets, and everything in between.

Phosphorus Content

Phosphorus is bringing toys to the Sandbox! Join us at the IoT Village in the RSAC Sandbox all week, where we'll show how bad actors take advantage of some recently banned devices — and what you can do about it!

Brian Contos will showcase several hacks against enterprise and industrial xIoT devices while sharing stories from the trenches involving cybercriminals, nation-state actors, and defenders on Wednesday at 9:40 AM on the Sandbox stage.
